The painting was created using mud, clay, and rocks from the building site of the new Herbert Hoover High School and was given to Brad when he graciously performed at the first ever football game in the brand new stadium. This inscription is on the back of the originial painting: Out of the river full of turbulence, death, and destruction, the community, along with people from around the country, joined together, linked arm and arm, to build a new foundation. One that is firm and built upon solid rock. Built upon the lives and hardships of many. Built so that the generations to come can stand upon their shoulders, for the future and hope of a brighter tomorrow.
